Walk Much?

I was thinking about a round that I am soon to play in Southern New Jersey, its a walk only course and I have never walked a course in my regular golf shoes so am looking for a new pair. I have been looking around and here are my top 2 choices:

A shoe that is one of the best; its Nike and they know shoes. The shoe is synthetic with a rubber outsole. The Nike Air Range is light and breathes well. The bottom of the shoe is where its at, it is a super comfortable shoe to walk in. But if you are a fashionista this shoe does not really fit all the classic and new looks on the tour. This shoe is mainly for the average customer who is looking for a productive and comfortable shoe.

A shoe that anyone can wear, the guy looking for a plain new golf shoe, the person looking for a shoe with style and flare or just the person who saw it online and said "what the heck"?The bottom line about these shoes is that they are for everyone. The outside of the shoe is made with genuine leather which makes it very durable. The inner part of the shoe is very comfortable but also keeps moisture away. The insole of the shoe is comfortable and built with 2 layers for even more cushioning and bounce. The bottom part of the shoe is playable in all conditions wet, dry or even snowy. Its 100 individual knobs that are built like triangles provide traction everywhere. Its a great shoe for anyone.

If you are looking at purchasing any of these 2 shoes then check The Golf Warehouse.

Tiger Gone Bad?

This weeks Players Championship was a the return of Tiger Woods after recovering from his left knee and his achilles tendent. On thursday May 12 the opening round Tiger withdrew at the 10th hole due to injury. This will not be the end of the, I mean the one and only Tiger Woods.

This was Tigers outfit for thursday. I really like this outfit designed by Nike because of the simplicity but it brings a new modern and clean look with the tan khakis and white belt. His navy blue dry-fit shirt really was my favorite. It was new an innovative, but was subtle and very appropriate for the golf course.
Well this was all he left us to with but who knows whats commin' next?

Old School

This week I recently went over to the Brooks Brothers store on Madison and 44th Street to purchase some new summer apparel for on and off the course.
Here are my opinions on some items:

This is a classic sport chambray. I really enjoy the design and clean finish. It is very productive shirt for your off course needs, it is light and comfortable. It is also very appropriate for having a drink or sitting down with your group at the 19th hole.

Seersucker Shorts is a modern spin on an old classic and chic for every moment of your golf game. I think that this is one if the most fashion oriented piece in the golf fashion world because it is a new look that was introduced by the legends. It also is just as nice as wearing a clean simple seersucker suit. It is very functional for the summer because of its light weight and movable dimension.

These Khaki Shorts with a Side Taping are new and innovated piece by Brooks Brothers it is a very new and simple look but is super fashionable. It's providing you with a classic look with a reved up modern taste. Its perfect for anyone looking to add some spin to their usual.

My Grudge

" Man I am I really digging those Hugo Boss shirts." As a kid who is always looking to show some nice new style on the course I look to the brands as well as the pros to show me the cutting edge in golf wear. Spending my time looking at these styles is great but as a kid trying to purchase these new looks can be frustrating and sometimes impossible. For instance, take Rickie Fowler's completely orange suit. I have looked and looked but there is nothing like it in a junior size. It was shocking to me because, how come my dad can look like a pro or have cool styles and I can't? I stopped searching for that Puma suit and tried another top player brand, Hugo Boss. Hugo Boss does not even make kids apparel. I scratched those 72 type brands and now look to the more comercial companies such as Nike, Adidas and Under Armor. I often check out The Golf Warehouse (tgw.com) to see what the kids are wearing. These companies usually produce a small line for juniors each season but they do not feature any of the fashion pieces from the men's lines. I do appreciate their efforts but would like to see more detail and style then just the basic solid black or white shorts. There are usually a couple of shirts but again, they are your basic solid or striped.

But as I look up at my dad and see him in the new half striped black and white sweater from Hugo Boss, I can't but help think why i can't look as good on the links. and by the way, i'm a better golfer than my dad.

Welcome

Hello here is a blog about the growth of junior golf apparel and just golf. The name Plaid Gone Bad symbolizes of how I am tired and sick of just the basic solid junior apparel clothing. The idea behind this blog started recently after I saw my dad in sone very spiffy golf apparel December 2010. This blog will give you my perspective on some rising golf stars on tour but also a heads up on the latest junior apparel.
